Gray Hideaway is located approximately 20 km Northwest of Jinja Town on the west bank of the River Nile
We are approximately two hours’ drive from Kampala and four hours from Entebbe International Airport.
The journey from Kampala is simple and takes about two hours by car. There are now two popular routes.
How to get to Gray Hideaway.
Via Jinja Road
Take the Jinja Road from Kampala. 500 metres before the crossing over the River Nile, you will see our signpost to The Haven Eco River Lodge. Turn left opposite the Nile Brewery in Njeru towards Kayunga.
Continue on this tarmac road for approximately 15 km until you see signposts for The Haven. Turn right and drive for 3km on dirt roads until you reach the Haven. This route takes 1.5 hours or more to drive, depending on traffic.
Via Gayaza Road
The newly tarmacked Gayaza Road from Kampala is highly recommended and takes you via the Kahunga Jinja Road on the west bank of the River Nile. This is a safer route on a good road with very little traffic. The landscape is nice too!
Jinja truly is ‘the adrenalin capital of East Africa’ – now you can understand why!
